Kiyo Sculpture

KiyoScupltureThis carving of “Kiyo”, Real name Ryuichi Kiyonari (清成龍一) was sculpted by local artist Simon of Extreme Chainsaw. It was carved out of a 3 ton piece of Cedar wood and completed by using only chainsaws. The sculpture took 150 hours to complete, but was well worth the effort as it created quite a reaction at the British superbike meeting in May 2010. “Kiyo” himself was so wowed by it he decided to sign it personally. The carving was put up for auction and was subsequently acquired for the Splash where it enjoys pride of place in our garden. We would invite all to come and see this remarkable work, and perhaps have a drink and take time to admire and photograph this piece of “one off” art as there will never be another. It will reinforce the ties we have with bikers and Cadwell park and will remain here to be enjoyed for many years to come.
